Stair Gates- pressure mounted

Hiya,

Any one any experience of pressure mounted stair gates for babies?

My stairs are 88cm wide - so most stair gates I have looked at seem to need extensions to fit a stairway of this size- however if you use extensions do you then need to screw the extensions in, or does it continue to be pressure mounted?

I ask this cos I bought a mamas & papas pressure mounted one, but it needed extensions and these had to be screwed in so I had to take it back!!

Anyone any experience??

Can anyone recommend a stair gates that will fit that definitely doesnt need screwing in, even when extensions are used?

hi there,

we bought a pressure mounted stairgate from B and Q that was £25 by Safety 1st. it comes with 2 extension pieces but still doesnt require screw fixing. its still in use as we speak.
