Hi
I'm looking at doing party bags for my friends hen night (going to be about 20 of us)
Have in mind the usual things like sashes, badges, shot glasses, sweets, willy straws, Etc but looking on the net I can't find cheap (ish) sashes I want one for bride to be, 1 bridesmaid, 1 mother of the bride and about 17 hen party ones only they seem to be between £2-£4 each and needing 20 of them that's a lot of money before I even start with the other things. So have anyone managed to find any nice but cheap ones and any other different ideas for fillers?
Thanks :-)

hi, i did hen night party bags for my best friends wedding. In them i put things that would be useful for us on our night out, blister plasters, those dancing feet things, business cards for local taxis, chewing gum, willy straws, headache tablets, we all had fancy eye masks to wear out, badges, lipgloss, spare toothbrush and toothpaste, i bought a lot of packs of things and then split them up into the bags. they went down a treat x
Cant help with the sashs though as we all paid for our own x0 -
Hi
Excellent idea for the gel things for your shoes I'm sure they would go down well - did you manage to find cheapish ones of those? And was going to include the morning after stuff aswell so happy to hear that went down well aswell!!
Think I may ask for them to give a little extra when we pay for our t shirts and ill get some sashes out of that otherwise I will be spending around £40 odd before I start!!
Got the bags to put everything in though and sticker/labels, bride has decided on a pink and black theme so I'm going very girlie - cant wait :-) x0 -

Have you tried home bargains for gel cushions? If you've got one near you they do lots of little bits that are quite cheap0 -
No I haven't had a look around yet....thankfully I have a while but just getting some options and ideas on paper. But just had a look on eBay (what a wonderful thing) :-) and they are 99p each so if all else fails that's where I'll be getting everything!!!!

I can't be of help really on recommendations but I'd definitely suggest that everyone puts in a little bit more to cover the cost. Every hen do I've ever been to I've understood that the goody bag is paid for by contributions the guests make, and none of us has ever had a problem with it.
Depending on what you're doing, you could always pop in a mini bottle of wine/spirit/soft drink too?0 -
I got my sashes here

The key thing to remember with party bags is to get everything in bulk as some people have mentioned, check amazon, ebay etc. One idea that I don't think has been mentioned is some jelly shots, you can make these yourself, just use some cheap plastic shot glasses and cover with cellophane. If you want to be a superstar get everyone their own personalised shot glass, this could be instead of a t-shirt, bit different?
There are loads of ideas on this site although it is primarily aimed at kids bags
