The Open University in conjunction with the BBC (open.net) are giving away this :

    Coast
The 'Discover your Coast’activity pack accompanies the 13-part series in which we celebrate the unique character of the UK’s coastal communities. The pack includes activities and information about the beach, rock pools, tourism, litter and rocks, together with postcards that you can pull out and send to your friends and family

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

I got my last lot of free postcards from Habitat. They had a pile on the till, and also in the frames section.

Student Union Bars, went to a gig at Southampton University last October and managed to pick up loads of different ones there and I often get them from concert venues too, usually advertising local bands or cetain nights that are coming up at that particular venue.

OK, so I know not particularly SNAZZY, but have you tried cutting up cardboard boxes?

I don't mean brown corrugated boxes, I mean cereal packets and the like. It is recycling (a good thing last time I looked) and dependant on how you cut the boxes and which ones you use, could be quite surreal too.

    Try your local pub.

    Beermats make great postcards.

Just stick a stamp on it and the address - if the postage is correct, the post office are obliged to take it. Helps if they're single sided though (harder to find in these days of slick marketing).

Once set a full sized coconut from Tonga to Turkey once. It arrived, much to the bemusement of the recipient.
