So when will we know when EXACTLY the Lotto is getting increased?

Before it's mentioned - yes, i did do a search. I searched for thread titles with the keyword "Lotto" & seemingly nothing on the topic, which surprised me.

The papers say it's being increased to £2/ticket in "autumn". Not very precise. Autumn lasts a little while.

We get 3 lines per play - so 6 lines per week (a line for the wife, a line for me & a LD line).
With the increase we'll have to drop to just 2 lines per play.

You can buy for weeks in advance, so i was thinking that right before the increase i'll just get the 6 lines for as many weeks as possible & then drop down to 4 lines.

So when do we know when EXACTLY it comes into play?

The threads are all in the Money Saving Arms sections. Doing the lotto is not upping income. ;)

Buying in advance won't work. It'll be new lottery new prizes and a raffle.

I would expect the date to be announced in plenty of time and the £2 price to apply from the date of inception.
so buying in advance would be pointless

SERIOUSLY doubt this would work. They will have the updated prices for the new weeks as soon as they are available for sale.

I don't play it but a couple of people I know put the same lines on every week. And because of that there is this huge psychological thing that they cannot miss one as they know the numbers off by heart and if they miss one and then see they came up, well they wouldn't be happy.
So they are going to have to just suck it up. I know they won't stop doing it, the psychological issue is just too strong for them.

Except it IS officially called Lotto. Maybe people call it different but OP was not wrong there.

Maybe not, but winning the lotto is certainly upping your income :D

And didn't the whole thing get rebranded "lotto"? Which is why i referred to it as the lotto.
