Hello,
this is my question, i can make up to 20% overpayments, can i do it online?
Is there a special way of doing it or just simply transfering money to mortgage account?
Regards,
Simon

Not sure about HSBC but with Nationwide I could set a bill payment up from my bank account using their sort code and account number an using the mortgage number as the reference. Any issues it may be worth a call as you don't want you money stuck in a holding account if it isn't done properly.0

I had a variable HSBC mortgage last year and I was able to make all my overpayments online by just transferring the money to my mortgage account. It was great as my mortgage account was updated immediately. I'd speak to HSBC just to confirm this is possible for your account.0

We're with First Direct (part of HSBC) and to make overpayments, we just make payments out of our joint account to the sort code and account number of our mortgage, with the reference "Mortgage overpayment". That seems to work fine.1

Hi. I am doing the same at the moment. You will need to ring them up so that the can change your direct debit to allow for 20% increase. You change change this back to your normal payment but at anytime,0
