you so now do what you should have done then, WRITE TO THEM and get all the break down as to where and how they say you are over paid in DETAILAP007,Sorry if I came across all bad attitude but I'm looking for constructive advice on what I should do now,,not what I should have done then.:)
NOT just a figure!!
Plus copies of all payslips and match this with the the figures you were actually paid
IF you owe it you have to agree to pay it or you may end up in courtWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Do you think their figures are right for how much you had been overpaid?
The overpayments are for three months pay which I received when I was on 'Special unpaid leave'
I was payed during this time as the paperwork for my special leave got lost in the system.
I did get payed for drills,,these were included in my salary,,had I still been employed the the fire service, the unattended drills would have been deducted form my salary at some point but as I wasn't being paid after April 2012,they had nothing to deduct this from.0 -

Sorry but you did say in your first post 'I cannot believe that in all the time from April 2012,they left it until my notice had run out to inform me of overpayments,,I received no correspondence from my employers regarding these issues until then.Had I known the seriousness of this I would have worked this debt off, given the opportunity.'Yes,it would appear I have come to the wrong place for advice

so you agree you have been overpaid?
Yes,,although not sure about the amount of drills they say I owe..My issues are.
Why did they leave it until I had resigned to inform me of this.If I had been informed of this earlier in the year i could have worked off the debt as I was still employed by them
How can they expect me to pay in one go(I haven't that much in my bank).
Is there anywhere else I could get help,,eg,ACAS?0 -

It's 'paid' not 'payed'....just for if you have to write to them
If you owe it, then you have to pay it back. The best thing you can do is to offer to pay it back in installments.
If you knew you were getting too much, it should have been set aside but anyway - that's history now.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
ACAS can't help you owe it and sorry but like I said if when they first wrote ro you, you knew this and left it ask yourself whos fault is it that it has come to this. Mistakes to happen but if you knew 1) when you got paid you were not meant to, you should have saved it or said somethingYes,,although not sure about the amount of drills they say I owe..My issues are.
