Declaring Bankruptcy: are forms checked at court?

If so, if for example a bit is missing or has an error will the petition be rejected, will it be left to the OR to rectify it or will it be rectified on the day? If the former, will the fee be lost?

    Thanks.

I'm reading through the example form at bis.gov.uk which is helpful in some aspects... but the form is confusing..

    Section 2 for example...

I believe this is the point applicable to me.. i'm presenting to Lincoln County Court because it is local to me as it has been for numerous years.

This shows what i've crossed out and how it reads.... not sure if I should write the name of the court and/or whether i've crossed out correctly.
I am (f)[STRIKE][not] [/STRIKE]resident in England and Wales. I am presenting my petition to this county court because within the 6 months immediately preceding the presentation of this petition (f)[STRIKE][I carried on business in England and Wales and for the longest part of the period during which I carried on business in England and Wales within that period of 6 months the (f)(principal) place of business was situated in the district of [/STRIKE](f)(this)(________) county court][I have not carried on business in England and Wales but resided in England and Wales and for the longest part of the period during which I resided in England and Wales within that period of 6 months, I resided in the district of (f)(this)(________) county court))(and in order to expedite the presentation of this petition, I am presenting it to this court as it is the (nearest full time) court (f)(to my [principal] place of business[for the insolvency district in which I reside].

    Thanks

In a simple case where you are going BR at your local court where you have lived for > 6 months, you would complete those parts like this..

And fill in the name of the court where there are appropriate blanks.

If you are not sure, then don't cross anything out and ask the clerk to help you on the day.

    Thanks both.

To clarify another point.... it says [I have not carried on business in England & Wales but...]... my employment status as a cab driver is self-employed. The business trading names listed are in a completely unrelated industry and folded about 12-18 months ago. Do I fill it in the same?
