The only other expense I can see that you could cut out is slimming world. £40 seems alot to pay when regular excercise, sticking to a healthy balanced diet and buying your own set of scales to keep an eye on your weight loss would suffice.

    Thanks.

Im not far off my target and have lost 2 stone so far. Once I hit target about 4-5 weeks time, it will be free for me to attend. so the monthly cost will drop to £20 just for the OH, and they will take a little longer than me to reach target.

Have to agree with Marisco - there is nothing better than the ELMM diet - eat less move more!

I'm aware of this, but the landlord was thinking about selling and is a real worry about his property. He doesn't need to be, he knows over the past 12months the property has been well looked after and the agency told the LL that if they (us) sign for 12 months it will give him security.
The LL also lost his job too, so would rather know we were secure living here for the next 12 months.

    Its only £36

To be honest he can just give you 2 months notice to quit, if he goes into difficulty he will have to sell
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Not if we have a 12 month contract.

So glad you're going to look at that iphone tariff in Sept when it expires. Don't be lured into contracts for shiny new gadgets....I managed to get a monthly contract for around £12 & it came with a new free smartphone which does everything I need (plus loads more). I think Apple sort of ride this wave of everyone wanting their stuff, but nothing they can ever produce will make you feel as good as busting debts & being more financially secure in these very challenging economic times.
