Parents mis sold packaged a/c from Barclays- Can you help?

Hi,
My parents recently became aware that 5 years ago they were paying for a packaged bank account from Barclays that they did not ask for and are suspicious that some/most of the 'benefits' from the account perhaps would not have applied to them (For example, they suspect that Worldwide travel insurance may have been a benefit but due to ill health my Father could not travel, let alone abroad).
If I find out and provide the details of the package could I find out what the benefits were? And has anyone successfully claimed that they were mis sold a packaged account?

Not many have, there are more elements to the extra's than travel insurance. If it was of no use, why did they take it out? Not using it inst a reason.
You would be relying on them to refund it as a gesture of goodwill.0 -
How can yo say they only became aware of this payment for the package.
The payment going out would have been listed every single month on every single bank statement.
They would have signed saying they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Apologies, I thought I made it clear that they did not ask for it and have only recently became aware. Not yet a total moneysaving expert...but im trying!!0 -
it would have been discussed with someone in the branch and they would have signed for it. it will also be on the bank statements. sounds like they have simply forgotten.0

They are certain it was never agreed but admit that the statements weren't agreed.
Surely a 'better' argument is that the benefits were not applicable (For example, they did not own mobile phones but now realise that mobile phone insurance was probably on there?)Not yet a total moneysaving expert...but im trying!!0
