Also looking for a DS lite to take on my holiday in August to get me through a 12 hour flight

Have seen a black DS lite on the GAME site for £99.99 and comes with money ball DS for free
  • I am also looking for one so would be glad to hear from anyone who knows a really cheap place to buy them!

  • Ebuyer - £95 for the console but if you go through Google Checkout its reduced to £85,with free delivery. I ordered a black one on 22/04 and it was delivered on 26/04. They also have some deals on the White DS Lite/Games on the same page.

I'm not sure what games you're into, but Gamestation have these Console/Games deals as well as 2 for £30 on selected games.
The best games review website I've found is IGN. Reader reviews can be found here

I've had my DS for less than a week, its my first ever games console and I love it :j

There really isn't much of a variation in games prices: £27-30 for a new (within a few months of release) one.

You can buy them second hand. I can't comment on this as I haven't tried it yet but the usual high street games stores do this, I found a game that was released two weeks ago at £30 on sale for £23 at one yesterday.

One thing I would watch out for is websites selling new games at lower prices (ie £25) as these are often not the UK release and you get a version of the game that is slightly different. That isn't necessarily a problem but you might not get newer features of the game that were added on after the USA/Japan release and may not be able to use the "walkthroughs" you can find in books/on the net if you get stuck on a game.

Remember not to use the wireless feature on flights!

Buy an R4 cartridge and a 1GB micro SD memory card it give the DS and DS lite special powers like playing videos and mp3's plus another very interesting feature than can save you about £25-£30 a game ;)
