Make money from PPI nuisance calls

APologies if this is in the wrong place but bear with me! I have an idea and want to question the legality of it.
Could I set u a premium rate phone number and then enter it on things like pay day loan enquiries and PPi claim back sites (and any other site you can think of that generate nuisance calls) in the hopes that these very annoying people call me back on it? I'm sure its mostly auto dialed by a computer so not much chance of human intervention. I want to know A. If this is legal as I am not forcing them or misleading them into calling my premium rate number and B what people think of it as a plan?

no idea if it's legal but a great idea.
£10 a minute phone number, i can keep them talking for hours.0 -
I suspect it is ok, the problem will be getting the number set up as the higher the charges are the more scrutiny over what you're doing with it comes in.
The main challenge is going to be balancing the cost of setting up the number against the revenue you generate especially if the auto-diallers are setup to block premium rate numbers (I know donkeys years ago the power dialler at the office I worked in wouldnt allow international, premium rates etc)0 -
I love this idea, but am not sure whether or not it would work. They might get a bit suspicious after a while.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Love the idea but haven't got a clue if it would work. If you try it let us know, I'm intrigued! If you don't like where you are - move. You are not a tree.0

The old trick was to use a foriegn premium rate number, covered with an 07somthing redirection number
phone up plumbers, builders double glazing firms in the middle of the night so you hit there voicemail an ask them to call you back on that number
doubt it still works though0 -

So let me get this straight.
You would ring up a tradesmen in the middle of the night in the hope that they had switched their mobile phone off so you could leave a spurious message costing the said trades men tens or maybe even hundreds of pounds?
Well you are a touch of class you aren't you.
1. You may wake the trades person and or his family up for your little stunt, plenty of tradesmen offer 24hr service.
2. You are nothing but a low life con-man who if caught I would hope suffer a criminal sentence.
3. Why target honest trades people who are just trying to offer a valuable service?0
