How easy is it to apply for a HSBC mortgage online, can anyone briefly explain the process. I have no experience in this area as i normally deal with a broker.

Thanks,

i did it with no worries, the only pain was having to chase people up as you dont have a face to face person your dealing with.

Just seen a product on their website for a life time tracker fee deal, but has the following t & c:
Sole applicants must have a minimum salary of £30,000. Joint applicants must either have a minimum combined salary of £50,000, or one party have an individual salary of £30,000 or more.

My situation, joint application, £31k and £13k, would we qualify for this products. Just spoke to a hsbc on the phone, and he say no. However, i think he is wrong.

    Please can anyone advice

It appears you £31k salary should suffice for a joint application.
