I have had an Accord Mortgage for 5 and a half years. Never had any problems with them.

On the other hand I am currently going through a mortgage application with Precise mortgages. We are 8 weeks down the line and still no sign of a mortgage offer

If you have a straight forward scenario theyre not too bad.
If you have anything out of the ordinary expect to have to supply war and peace.

I applied for a mortgage with them a back in April and they were quite slow with progressing the mortgage and kept asking for heaps of paperwork but that's mainly because I'm a contractor. However it was eventually all approved. My problem is the sale is taking forever now as the vendor converted the loft in the flat without buying the lease for the loft from the freeholder. Just hoping that all gets sorted and I can exchange within the 6 month period the loan is approved for. I've been told the lease issues and building control sign off for the loft should happen this week.

I find the problem with Accord is that they will keep asking for more paperwork, then once the valuation has been done, and you have committed your fees, they will come back and due to their affordability only be able to lend a lower amount.

I've pretty much now given them every piece of proof and paperwork I have. So, let see where we go.
They took the money from my account for app fee, valuation and survey end May and Mid June, it was refunded back into my account. Hmmm.... Will see what happens next....
Thinking of just going to another lender to be honest. I'll give it another week.

I understand these things can take time, I guess I just have to be patient and keep contacting my broker on a regular basis.

    Thanks for the feedback.
