The form should maybe ask for DOB. I read the tital without paying any attention to the website, clicked the link and filled in the form, thought a room thermometer would be handy. Now realised its a charity for the elderly and feel terriable :( will pass it on to someone if I recieve it. On my phone so screen was focused in on the details section and wasnt until I clicked submit I reaslised the website.

Yes but you do realise that most (all?) adverts use actors?

Do you think the guy on TV telling you to buy a new Ford Fiesta

    a) owns a Fiest? and
    b) is just a member of the public?

True, but obviously what was meant was "known" actors, or if you prefer "famous".

So where does "Elderly" start? 70? 75?

I work for Age UK and even though a lot of our clients are 'older' our target market for use of services is for over 50's. (Last time I heard).

If the "Thermometer" is the one that Age concern usually do (My mother had one once from a church meeting that Age Concern gave a talk at) it's a little piece of card with sensors on it that change colour as the room temperature rises/falls to tell you if you are in danger of hypothermia, so not much use to the general public, so that should stem the abuse of the offer:)

That is exactly what you get, along with a booklet which among other things tells you how you can "gift your home to them to ensure your care "
The booklet also tells you about free or discounted insulation from E.ON but the offer ended on 24th August 2012.
Actually, I have just noticed that they have sent the Summer 2012 guide.
