Paypal taking longer to withdraw again

I've been using Paypal for a few years now and in September they started processing my withdrawals in 2 hours. Made a refreshing change from the 3 days they used and I'm very suspicious about them keeping people's money for longer in order to gain more interest.

My activity on Paypal has increased, but every time I try and withdraw now, it takes 24 hours and not the 2 it used to. I'm sure they were told by the EU that they had to pay instantly but it's just really annoying that they've done this again.

Anyone else getting the same issue?

Have you changed banks? They pay me (Natwest) in a matter of seconds, but my partner (Halifax) takes 2 full days.

My Halifax account is linked to my Paypal. I was delighted when PP switched to paying within 2 hours. When the 2-hour thing first started, I noticed for a couple of payments I withdrew, PP put them on review and it took longer to process (24 hours). It's hardly happened again since then though.

It might be worth asking them - sending them an email. That's what I did when I was reviewed the second time.

It's sounds a bit strange, as you haven't changed your bank. Have you updated your account details recently, as this can cause a delay and paypal certainly know how to slow the process down in payments.

It's been great since paypal recently changed their basic payment facility from 2/3 days to 3 hours, as you once had to pay for an fast payment.
