am I dischaged or not??

Evening all.
I am new but have plucked up the courage to write. sorry if this is a stupid post!!
My husband and I declared bankrupt on 18/3/2011. Apart from the OR phone call in the early days we have not heard a thing.
We do have a restriction on the land registry as we are in mortgaged propertly. There is negative equity so we understand we may not lose our home. Can I ask what happens at 2 yrs and 3 months re our home??
Also are we still automatically discharged at 12m (so 18/3/2012) or not with the house involvement??
I darent ring up the OR!!

We havent heard anything, except we are getting invitations to apply for credit cards, ie. vanquis through the post now...
I dont really want a credit card ever again, but I guess it would be useful for an emergency and also as people have posted, to use to rebuild credit and pay off the balance each month

sorry for it being a long post...

  • banruptcy disharge happens automatically after 12 months you may not get a letter as it is an automatic thing. you can sometimes be discharged early you can look up your status in here.

  • Thank you for reply.
I have looked on the link you supplied-thank you, and it just says "no record" when I search here.

Is that because I/we have been discharged then?
and sorry to go on, but the house situation pending, doesnt stop the bankruptcy being discharged then??

hope all ok with you . Thank you for advice.

Yes you are discharged:) Your name automatically falls off the IS register 3 months after your AD, hence the reason you cannot find yourself. No one gets a letter to confirm them of their AD, so that is normal.

Yup, infact it's possible to go through the whole bankruptcy process without ever having to compete an SOA.
