Just opened one of these, apparently the interest rates are being updated in February, it may go up but most likely it will not, so if you're thinking of opening one, might be time to do it.

The girl who I was speaking to when opening it. I just opened a current and eSaver and said I was planning on opening a regular saver once my wages switched and she said the accounts rates are all being updated in February so I may be better opening now.
She didn't however state if they were going up, down or indeed they may stay the same.0 -
I doubt they'd increase it, they're already in a league of their own with this current offering.0

Given that since September 2012 HSBC has only being offering 6% for its regular savings accounts under its own brand I am surprised that the 8% has lasted this long.0

My last payment was made on my current regular saver with them this week, but you cannot open another regular saver until it matures in February. I have already tried to open another, so it looks as though I may miss out on the 8% for my next regular saver. But at least I am getting 8% less tax on my £3600 for the month."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

My last one has just matured and so i have opened another one this very morning. That rate will get pulled soon..no doubt about it.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Although off topic it may help to know that their FR Bond is decreasing from 2.3-2%. I know this because my current one matures at the end of the month and their literature has indicated that I may re-invest from Feb.1 at the new rate.
Unfortunately there is no way to commit to another year at the higher rate.
It will therefor be no surprise to see their monthly saver interest rate similarly go lower.0 -
When opening the FD regular saver online is it opened instantly or does it take a few days to process etc...?0
