I completely agree, the money wasted is such a bitter pill to take but i hope in the long run we have made the right decision not to sell at this point.
As it is my motivation and patience to get rid of the mortgage is more than ever, maybe it is the thought of having another dependent child and wanting to provide as much as I can for them or maybe it is because losing dad has made me realise that I really dont want to work forever.
I have got to work out my savings vs OP for my last few months of full salary. I have enough saved to cover the short fall in salary and a emergency fund but I need to work out whether I should keep some more in the emergency fund or overpay!
    Figures:
    Emergency fund - £11,000
Savings to cover wage shortfall = Completed
Monthly savings between now and baby = £1800

So sorry about your dad :(. Strange that you've reacted in the same way some of us on here have also done to losing friends way too early - rather than saying 'life;s too short' and blowing everything we all feel life is too short to keep on working so we're even more determined to get MF ASAP.

Good luck with little bubba :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)
