Cheaper than amazon

Since boycotting Amazon I've been surprised at how many times I've found items cheaper elsewhere - and would like to start this thread to challenge the idea that Amazon is always the cheapest.

So if you find an item on sale elsewhere that's cheaper than Amazon.co.uk, this is where to post it. Thanks.

Today in Sainsbury's Store = £6.49
Amazon.co.uk = £7

Bought book for hubby - "Extra one percent" by Rob Yeung - £1.50 incl postage from eBay (The Works). Brand new copy. Currently £9.59 on Amazon !

You can always try The Book People (go through Quidco for cash back). If you buy over a certain amount then the postage is free (get together with friend if necessary). But sometimes it is worthwhile to pay the postage as their books are very cheap; especially for children.

amazon charge sellers around 15% so if the seller has their own website, they can be cheaper to go direct. although some people use amazon for volume so you can get rock bottom prices, and also some sell at less than it costs them! to get the feedback etc.

Recently I cam across a lovely kettle 'PRESTIGE POLKA DOT FAST BOIL PYRAMID KETTLE' on amazon - £45.95 + £5.10 UK delivery. Found it on ebay 'Funky Pink Polka Dot Cordless Pyramid Fast Boil Kettle 1.5 litre capacity' for £39.99 plus £4.75post SAVING over £5.00!!!

But I do try to sell as cheaply as possible, it's £1.75 P&P for the first book & a max of £2.95 for more than one. Free if over £25. I'm also running an extra 10% off promotion using code TENOFF .
