Red Crosses

Hi, forgive me if it's obvious this question.
I've been entering comps working my way through the board. Have never used the red cross before but thought I would start as it would make things easier to sort.
Having done this for a couple of pages, I've noticed when I went back a page the red crosses have disappeared from some of the ones I marked? Also, I'm sure I clicked on some yesterday to mark them as red and today there is no cross at all, but when I click the green tick to say I've entered a comp these are still showing?
Can someone tell me if I am perhaps doing something wrong? Ta:o

Sometimes for me it can take a while to load. I always refresh before moving to the next page.
