Hi
I have just recieved my latest Natwest Credit Card bill and been charged interest.
I have just cleared over £3000 in 1 month and they still have charged me interest. I cleared by the due date, the £3000 of it was 3 days before the due date and the rest was a day before. This left me a zero balance by the next bill due date.
I am just so disheartened with this as everyhting you try and do is just thrown back in our faces.
I have called them and they say that interest in charged on a daily basis.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Did you not clear your balance fully the month before? It takes two clear months before you pay no interest as you have to still pay interest on the balance until it is fully cleared. iF IT'S ANY CONSOLATION AS LONG AS YOU PAY THE INTEREST YOU WON'T PAY ANYTHING NEXT MONTH.(sorry for caps)0

hi Brindle i dont think you can do anything, most credit card interests are charged daily so they probably charged you up untill the funds cleared into your account... i may be wrong though and someone will be alone soon i expect0

hello
was any of the balance made up from cash withdrawals? If so, interest is charged daily and irrespective of if you pay on time, thus the charge would be correctProud To Be Dealing With My Debts - 1420 Days To Go!LBM: £103,592.98 / Currently £78,500.08 - Down 24.22% / Mortgage: £92,800.00 / Loan: £17,284.21 / Overdraft: £450.09 / C/Card 0%(October 08): £5,601.54 / C/Card 0% (January 09): £1075.22 / Child Care: £137.80

I think all my CC's came back the following month with a bit of interest to pay after i'd zero'd each one. It was a bit disheartening, but at least after that I knew definitely it had a nil balance.
