I signed up to receive a free box from graze.com and really liked the idea of healthy snacks at work rather than sweets and biscuits.
I have now cancelled, as I dont think it is worth £3 per week, but I want to do something similar myself.
I was thinking about buying some small plastic boxes and making up the packs myself in bulk.
Where is the best place to buy dried fruit and seeds from. I have looked in supermarkets and they are quite expensive. Want to buy in reasonable quantities but not bulk e.g. not a cash and carry where I have to buy 30kg!!!

Look at Holland & Barrett as they often have penny sales so every second bag costs 1p.
Then you have bulk buys in the supermarkets, Aldi, Lidl etc.
Try the Asian shops for nuts.
Some Tesco's sell large bags (Asian) Almonds for around £5.
Check all areas of supermarkets (whole foods, baking etc for best prices as they can vary dependant on packing and where they see fit to place them - snack bags will be more costly than whole foods or home baking).
Shop around on line sometimes even with postage you can buy bigger bags for cheaper prices than the shops.
Aim for at least 500g - 1kg bags especially the fruit and nuts you prefer to eat as these will be cheaper.
(I agree if you can be bothered to do your own it is far cheaper than the boxes).Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
It is WAY cheaper to do your own, I got annoyed with Graze because I always got sent the same items. I requested no bananas, dates or spicy/hot food and I always got the flapjack, a dip and pina colada which I have about 6 of in my pantry. Argh!
Nakd is a brand that do flavoured raisins, they are 30p a bag in ASDA.Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt!0 -
Great thanks. Not heard of Nakd but will pay a visit to ASDA.
Reckon in the plastic boxes I can make a couple of weeks up at a time and keep them in the cupboard. At 30p v £3 it is a no-brainer!0 -
Hi, I make up my own and use Almonds, prunes, raisins,Island mix all from Aldi.0

I had a 'come back to us' offer of three half price boxes so I've signed up for those but will cancel again then. I do like the boxes but they are too costly to buy on a regular basis. Still, it was a nice surprise having the first one arrive this morning as I'd forgotten all about it.0

I just ordered my first one with a free code my friend gave me - I intend to cancel too as they are a bit too expensive. Maybe I'll get a 'come back to us' offer too!0

When I've cancelled in the past I think I've always had a pop-up with an offer of the next box or two half price so you may be in luck:)0 -
I've just cancelled mine because I agree that they are very expensive. However I LOVE the chocolate buttons that you get in the snacks and managed to get a load of Montezuma chocolate buttons on Amazon (I think that's what the buttons in graze are) and I am going to make up some boxes myself with nuts and stuff. You have to be careful that the nuts are fresh though - I got some walnuts and other nuts in Aldi and they didn't taste fresh - the graze ones are always super-fresh.Jane
ENDIS. Employed, no disposable income or savings!0 -
Holland and barrett especially now the 1p sale is on and julian graves both shops expensive but then again most shops are nowadays.Better then graze especially when have to start paying for it did get some nice flapjacks from them though and spam email couple of years after using them.0
