GMAC charged us a £115 fee when we changed mortage from them a couple of years ago, but when I checked our contract, there was nothing mentioning any fees, let alone how much they would cost. Therefore, would I be right in thinking that I could claim the whole lot back? With interest? Has anyone else noticed this with their GMAC mortgages?
The first I knew of the fee was on the redemption letter we received when we told them we were moving mortgages.

Write them a letter and ask them.
You will soon find out.

Thanks - the letter is all ready to be sent, I just thought I would check it out and see if anyone else has experienced the same thing.
As for the rabbit - it's a chocolate rabbit; a stunt rabbit, if that makes it less painful...?

It might be a Exit fee, or Admin fee ,or Solicitors fee
It should be in the Terms Booklet you received at the outset and in the original offer
If this is the case, I doubt if you will receive a refund however and its a lot lower than most other lenders
