She sounds precisely like the sort of person capable of having a lawyer as a friend.

A loud mouth work colleague is boasting that she has had 6 payday loans and shes not paid anything back as her "lawyer mate got them written off"

Is she talking rubbish or is this the new "Wipe off your credit card balance" sort of scam? Or (More than likely) she wanting lots of red on her credit file?

Did she actually say her lawyer found a legal loophole??, if so, I'd be very interested to know what the details of that loophole her lawyer found is, presuming she is telling the truth which I very much doubt but if she is telling the truth then she should be able to explain, can you find out from her??, I mean, I'm sure we'd all like to be informed, I know I would!:D

    Or suicide.

That is not guaranteed to work with a Payday lender though....
