Mortgages

Hi my first post!!

In the process of filing for BR. Hopefully will be keeping our house
As no equity in it.

I was wondering will I ever get another mortgage or a decent offer of a remortgage when gone bankrupt in the future? Or does it depend if I have a ridiculous deposit!!!

Also does anyone know what the OR is like in hull?

Thanks

Give it 6 years and it'll all be back to normal and you can get some very good rates on mortgages. Hopefully by then you'll have enough deposit or equity to move.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

  • Sorry to hijack! HappyMJ is the six year thing true? I know my BR will come off my credit file after six years but I thought I'd always have to declare it when it came to mortgages? Or is it a case of don't ask don't tell? ;)

You will have to declare it
Some lenders won't touch you even after 6 years
    It will not be easy.

You only have to tell them if they ask you.
