Online food shopping

We started doing our food shopping online as we think about what we need rather than just buying for the sake of it.
I just wondered where people find cheapest/best for online shopping - Asda or Tesco?
We find Sainsbury's expensive and have been using Asda but wondered if Tesco give out more discount codes therefore making it cheaper.
What about the freshness of products?
Any comments would be appreciated
TIA

My experiance is atm i use Asda but not for fresh meat as there seems to be a tendancy to put meat in that dates arent that long, even after complaining it still continues so i get my meat from the butchers still:j Started my weightloss journey, its neverending!! :j

I have used Tesco and Sainsbury's as Asda won't deliver to me. It would probably make sense to do a shop at Asda one time and Tesco the next? I think it's very much personal choice. I like Sainsbury's and find them quite cheap for stuff I like, but I also really like Asda. In store I find Asda clothes too tempting, so online would be perfect. Tesco is hard for me to physically get to so I am less used to them and therefore don't really like them, yet others are mad about them... Sainsbury's gave great dates on the meat but not on the veg - some I took back to the store and they were good about that and refunded me, though.0

Have you tried logging into mysupermarket.com? You can input your shopping list after selecting a supermarket of your choice (choice of T*sco, Adsa, Sainsb, Waitrose) and a running total of how much your shopping will cost in each of the shops is displayed. I usually find Sainsb and Adsa are taking it in turns at the top of the list, with T*sco 3rd place. One life - your life - live it!0

Only used sainsburys once wasent impressed they charged me for subs and had to spend 100pound to get free delivery.
Heard to many horror stories asda which dont get on with when in store.
I like waitrose they always polite , on time free delivery if £50 or more and their essential range is good some stuffpricematches tesco, not charged for subs.
Also rate ocado they deliver upto 11pm night and late slots cheap. agin pricematched with tesco, lots discount codes.
waitose and ocado have done £15 off first order.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

I use Sainsburys and find they are pretty good. Especially their basics range. If you pick up one off their free magazine in store they usually have a code where if you spend over £50 you get £10 pound off your first shop on line. I have also used Asda with no problems they don’t charge you the difference for subs. I do tend to avoid fresh veg in an on line shop.Sealed pot challenge member 4370

I find T*sco very good for online shopping. The dates they provide are excellent, they don't charge for the substitutions and anything you are unhappy with you just hand back to the driver. You also receive emails randomly giving you codes for money off vouchers to use. I have used Sainsburys in the past but was charged for the subs so haven't used since and have heard bad reports about A*da, people not receiving goods etc. The T*sco website is very easy to work with and you can search all the special offers etc. easily.0

I use Sainsbury's.
I always get good quality stuff from them, and they are very reliable
I don't know if they are the cheapest (probably not) but I'm very happy with themEarly retired - 18th December 2014
