Hi don't normally pop into this thread but in case it helps anyone the SA in Tesco today told me new policy that they are not accepting magazine/newspaper/book coupons anymore unless you buy the relevant one. Hopefully this was a one of incident but thought I'd post in case it helps anyone DustyThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Thanks Dustykitten. My Tesco still accept them (except for some old bags but I avoid their tills anyway).
But with the Daily Mail tokens I wouldn't be surprised if Tesco are trying to clamp down on them, they surely must have trouble redeeming them all when they usually only sell the paperback versions of the books AFAIK.
Anyhoo, I'm not worried really, I know that there will always be an SA who will take them even if I have to take a refusal at the first try. Even the last one that didn't scan well (due to fuzzy barcode) was still accepted in the end. Tesco would have to block this coupon at the tills to ensure they don't take any, and they haven't done so yet.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, hopefully a 1 off - I am trying to use up DM coupons, and used 3 in separate transactions with 2 diff SAs today. Did the same yesterday. No problems, but so much depends on the individuals - I've also had them refused several times previously.0 -

.
IF this Old Bag worked on the checkouts at Tescos, I promise I would accept ALL your coupons and vouchers, as long as you gave me the secret MSE wink of course !;)
On a seperate note, bought the express today, and as I was checking the "use by" details on the free water - found the voucher had been ripped out !!!!! Very unsporting I say, not in the spirit of MSE I think.0 -
Hi, regarding free water in express,i went to morrisons to get it and they dont stock it (in my store anyway) so as voucher expires tomorrow i purchased a deeside water at 39p and handed over voucher and luckily cashier didnt notice the difference and took it,so am quite happy0
