Multiple entries

Anyone else get annoyed with multiple or unlimited entries competitions? I mean I don't mind the daily, weekly or monthly ones but multiple ones just annoy me cos if you do all the ITV ones especially now they don't have the back button and it doesn't keep it filled in anymore it takes ages. I know that they have excellent prizes, believe me I love to win just one of them but anyone know why they do multiple entry?

Sorry just a bit of a rant!

  • You should just view it as 5 (or however many entries are allowed) separate competitions. You'd be happy to enter 5 competitions with a good prize and fill in details for all of them. Having multiple entries is just the same but giving you 5 chances to win a prize (and a fantastic one in itv's case).

May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx

For the ITV ones they do it to profit from the phone entry. They have to limit entries or they may get told off for racking up people's phone bills but they have to make it fair for people who enter online by giving the same amount of entries

The ITV ones that are 3 to 6 entries per person I don't mind. It's the ones that are "unlimited" that get on my nerves as it seems a bit unfair on someone who only has the time to enter a couple of times, as opposed to someone who has time to enter about 100+ times. IYSWIM.
If there was a limit of, say, 10 entries PP maximum, I reckon thats a lot fairer. Everybody has the same chance of winning. I know that folks enter their parents, spouses, siblings, dog, cat, pet budgie :rotfl:, just to win a bottle of bubble bath, but there's nothing that can be done about that.
I just think that as long as everybody has a fair shake at winning, then everybody's happy (well I would be);)
