Old £20 notes

Does anyone know when the old notes are due to be taken out of circulation?
If I were to come accross any old notes in the future, and they had already taken them out of circulation, would I be able to exchange them at a bank?

I don't think there has been a date given for the old style £20's to be removed from circulation. It is usually several months after the issue of the new style note. The banks will always accept "old" style notes, it's part of the promise to pay the bearer on demand from the Bank of England. So if you still have any of the old white fivers hanging about don't despair you can swap them for a crisp new one!Lyn :hello:0
