Hi there,
I've just remembered I offered to take pudding to a friends later (after all she is kindly feeding my tribe) can anyone inspire me with a pudding to take along, my mind is frozen on this cold Monday morning - I have most ingredients in the house
p.s. there will be 6 children in total

As it is so cold at the moment, something comforting like rice pudding would be lovely and you could serve it with whatever you have, eg fruit, maple syrup, swirl of lemon curd or jam.
Or if you have some fruit you could do a crumble. If none of the children have a nut allergy you could chop some hazelnuts quite finely and mix them in with the crumble topping, and a handful of oats and some demerara sugar, makes the crumble lovely and crunchy.0 -
Rice pudding and apple sauce. Made apple sauce last night from our apples and had it with cream and a home made shortbread biscuit. Really lovely. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I agree with a warm pudding, how about one of the magic chocolate or lemon puddings. Normally a hit.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0

Crumble is a good idea. If you have no fresh fruit, tinned is fine. Mine like peaches or pears. You could also do pancakes. Make them beforehand and warm in a microwave.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

banana & custard! Usually popular with children
(depends a bit on the ages of the kids - 12 yr olds tend to like different puddings to 4 yr olds!)0 -

I'd say hot too....crumble and custard is uncomplicated and warming on a school/work night. Or if you have any stollen/panetone left over from Christmas they could be used in stead of bread in a bread and butter pudding.0
