12 month unsecured loan for 1200 pounds
I am being asked for a fee of 40 pounds - does this fee guarantee my loan or is it just a rip off as i suspect?
Thanks

Does paying £40 for a loan of £1200 sound right to you ?

Doesn't to me, theres no guarantee you will get that loan. Try your own bnk, reputable lenders.

No reputable lender will ask for a fee up front, so any you find from the internet promising a loan of £40 is full of crap.

    Whats the £1200 for ?

Why not cut your spending to then have more to throw at the debts.

i know what you mean but with the payday loans taking a lot of my wages on payday i am in a situation where i have to borrow from them again incurring the terrible charges. A longer term loan to pay them off coupled with spending cuts at a much much lower interest rate would ease the pressure

Are you sure this is the lender, not simply a broker fee? I'm afraid with payday loans already, all you are likely to be offered are more payday loans or a guarantor loan. I tried a couple of months ago, hadn't ever defaulted, nothign worse than a payment showing one month late, no payday loans at that stage, borrowing more than they would like but not half my salary which is what they usually say here is the limit, and still all I could get were guarantor and payday loans. Don't throw your money away on a broker fee.
