I'm just wondering if anyone sends thank you letters/emails to the competition organisers after they receive their prizes?

I'm relatively new to comping but if the company has contacted me by email to notify win and arrange delivery, I would email them once the prize has been received. For my Twitter wins, I will let them know on Twitter.

I always send a thank you message back to the promoter following a win.

Sometimes I post on their Facebook page or send an email.

If a company are good enough to award a prize, the least the winner can do is to thank them, along with the person who initially posted the competition.
  • I always reply to the WEM with a thankyou and then when I get the prize I post a thanks comment/picture or give feedback on their Facebook wall to give them some free PR :)

May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx

    Always.

Partly to express genuine gratitude and partly to encourage them to run more competitions.

I always do too, to let them know that the prize arrived safely if nothing else.

I frequently email the promoter or PR peope who sent the prize out, letting them know it arrived safely. Sometimes also the competition organiser, especially if it's a blog creator.
  • I do too it only takes 2 secs and its not as if you win everyday

I do simply as it's good manners and, with positive feedback, they might run more competitions.

I will always thank them, especially if an individual goes out there way to help.

I can think of 3 occasions where I have contacted someone about a prize not turning up on time, and the person has rectified it quickly and without any difficulty - just sending a little note of gratitude will make them feel good for helping out as well. It's like that smiling theory, you smile at someone - then they smile at someone else... and so on. :D
