International Postage query?

Can we send PC CD Games by post to other countries?

The reason is that I have been told that we need ''customs declaration'' with any letter...does this matter with original CD's? [but sending without the box to lessen the weight]

When sending DVD's or CD's to Canada or the US I always put it down as gift with a value of about £5 and have no problem.

You can send CDs wherever you want - you don't need a declaration if you're sending an item within the EU (apart from the Channel Islands) but you do if it's being sent elsewhere.

A customs declaration is needed for any goods sent ouside the EU, regardless of content.

  • Thanks for all your comments....

say for example, if I am sending things to India....in the custom declaration form you mention what item is it and the value....only tricky thing is the item gets lost if it carries contents name!

    Just telling from previous experience.

be non-specific in your description, make it sound as boring as possible and put a low value on it. If it is valuable take out insurance, if you use international signed for you get insurance of £34 and you can always buy more
