Thanks so much for your replies - I have phoned Vodafone and they were actually very good the man I spoke to said he was actually in the same boat lol, he has put a note on the file and he said the only thing I might receive are letters from a debt collectors 9he said just ring them and tell them) but its very unlikely I will get anybody turning up, as for the IVA I havent paid for 3 months now so I expect a letter anytime soon from them asking whats going on - no phone calls or correspondence yet!! I have rung the tax credits as I have earnt 6 grand less this year so far compared to last so hopefully will get a bit back there. As soon as I have the 700 I will be first in line at the court door. I have spoken to charities etc i dont qualify for any help apparently but were sympathetic and I have spoken to debtline and they have told me its the best solution as its been going on for too long. I just really want to start afresh I have had enough now just wish someone would give me a break.0

It might be worth checking out whether you'd get fee remission from the courts. O.k its not the full amount but would certainly help.
Apart from that it's keeping your head down and saving up, selling everything you can etc.
Best of Luck

Edit: the link to how to make yourself bankruptcy linked to here:

suggests that the fees are 700 (including court fees) but the link to the leaflet that says whether you'd be entitled to fee remission suggests that working tax credit means you don't have to pay the court fees (page 6 on the leaflet), therefore you'd only have to find 525. Hopefully you have a little saved already so maybe it's not as far away as you think.Making my money go further with MSE :j
