Wrong Date of Birth

I have just been looking at my credit report online and it would seem that one of my accounts with Shop Direct has the wrong date of birth attached to it.
I already hold 2 other accounts with them but these have my correct date of birth. I am just worried about the effect this will have on my credit report and don't want to seem that I am defrauding the company.
Every other credit account I hold has my correct date of birth,it's just this one that I have a problem with?
Is there anything I can do? Maybe send them a copy of my Birth Certificate or Passport?
Thank you

Have you tried picking up the phone and calling them? Works wonders!0

What did we do before the internet? did people use common sense then? or is it only since the universal use of the internet, that they have lost it?0

Wonderful! Thanks for those words of inspiration. Thought this forum was for people to offer kind advice or their experiences?
Heres my attempt at being helpful, if I had details wrongly recorded by a company I would ring and tell them.
Or I could tell everyone on an internet forum and expect them to magic the details correct0 -
People have a serious lack of common sense....and assisted!!0

The best cause of action would be to contact them and request they update your details accordingly.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Seriously, you spend 5 - 10 minutes typing in a question when it would have been far easier to just ring them up and ask?0

I don't think you should phone them and it will stuff your credit rating.
There you are OP someone agreeing (sic) with you.
Happy now??0 -

cid, people give their time to offer advice. As a new poster they have no idea if you are an experienced investor or financially incompetent. They start with the simple answer and rerspond based on your response to it.
Your response makes many people think "why should I bother". You will get kind replies on here if you avoid responding with sarcasm or indicate the answer is wrong because its not what you wanted to hear. Lesson learned?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0
