    They would'nt!

Nobody here can give a cast iron guarantee they wont do another credit check. Its very unlikely but not impossible. Its down to you to make the decision. Your the only person who can gain/lose from this.

Fair point. I have now contacted the kitchen/bathroom supplier to ask for an extension. I think we would be mad to risk anything at this stage. Hopefully they want the sale enough to honour the price for 7 days. But we will see.

Thanks all for you advice, much appreciated.

After a mortgage has been offered, it's unlikely that they'll do another credit check. Exceptions to this may be if the mortgage was offered 6 months ago and they need to 're-offer' it, or if there's a major change to the mortgage, such as a change in the amount to be borrowed.

However, if you can avoid taking on further credit commitments until after completion of the mortgage it would be best, to be on the safe side.

Be careful, there are numerous threads on here where the posters mge offer had been withdrawn at the 11th hour, specifically because an ad hoc pre completion audit check was conducted.

As I said way back, if there was bags of scope affordability wise with your income, such a check (even if conducted) may not throw the mge out.

Whether the lender would still choose to proceed, with the element of non-disclosure (ie undeclared material change) is another thing.

My professional advice would be to wait until after completion - but you must do what you feel is right for yourself :).

    Hope this helps
