If you could afford to pay £209/month for 5 years for a loan, then you could save up £11,000 in 4 years and 6 months and save yourself shedloads of interest into the bargain. As you say you're living with your parents and paying nothing to them, you could save up a lot more than £200/month.

No one will lend you 11k on a 12k annual salary.....no chance whatsoever.

This will be the reason - whilst from an affordability perspective it looks like a goer, the banks will look at your total credit and see it is the equivalent of your gross salary.

OP is your salary of 12k minus any OT as you shouldnt factor in OT for taking out loans, jsut what you said in the reply quoted by snowtiger.

The fact you had a PayDay loan will still be on your file though, so that is another negative against you.

its for a car am after so wont be there in 4 years lol

    positives

The usage of your available credit indicates a lower risk

The balance of your unsecured lending indicates a lower risk

Your borrowing on regular instalment credit has reduced over the last 12 months

You have a significant amount of successfully settled non-mail order accounts

    negative

The value of your highest credit limit indicates a higher risk.

Why do you need an £11k car? Can't you save up for a £2-3k car instead? What's happened to the car you're already in debt for? Yes I know I'm bossy ;)

The fact she has alot on credit already Id say no a joint application with your mum wont get anywhere but we dont know the full story.

Just save up the money for a car of less value eg 3k or 4k.

Oh yes as Tiglath says whats wrong with the car you have on finance ???
