50p Pasta in Asda

This was in an Asda local. Various varieties were 1.50ish now 50p, in the pasta section not on a separate display unit.

On Thursday I noticed that Morrison's had 'basic' pasta spirals at 30p for 500g.

bought some asda pasta yesterday for 50p - it included the chilli penne which are red (normally red pasta is coloured with tomato) - intriguing idea, haven't tried it yet to report taste. I think it also included the wholewheat pasta.

Its on virtually all the 500g bags, tagliatelle, conchiglie, penne, rigatone, fusili etc.. also on the tricolour, mixed colour pastas and the organic spaghetti. Worth stocking up at that price, end dates are next year.

They had some napolina brand ones for 50p as well as thier own.

( I am a bit of a pasta snob and dont really like basics past I'm afraid)

Amazon has 6bags for £3.60 delivered if you don't have an Asda nearby, I ordered mine from Amazon as it was easier. Hth someone.

Think I remember the add on tv saying it ended the 21st jan or 31st? Sorry cant remember but I'm sure someone will be of more help

Clowance - if I remember correctly it doesn't taste of anything! Would have been my fave pasta if it had, but no, nothing!
