Hello there,
Glad to see that you've found our service helpful. Did our adviser point out that you may be able to exercise a voluntary termination regarding your items with Brighthouse? (this is often called the 50% rule). If you have not defaulted you may be able to return the items with no further liabilities. Further info can be found via our fact sheet:
http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=16_hire_purchase_debt
It is possible to have a restriction undertaking/order with both Bankruptcies and Debt Relief Orders - although to have one placed upon you could often take a high degree of poor behaviour. You can read a public database of restrictions, and see the kind of conduct that has triggered them, via the following link:
http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/personal-insolvency/restriction-search
When considering the best option please do bear in mind that although the debt is written-off at the end of the DRO moritorium period the creditors are prohibited from contacting you or taking action during the year that it runs for.
We wish you all the very best in moving your situation forward, and will be following your diary with great interest!

Can I ask, now that you are looking to become bankrupt for the second time, what will you be doing to ensure its not going to happen for a third time? What will you be doing differently from being bankrupt the first time ?0

Ok Im back ! Sort of, been a confusing few months but didn't go BR for a second time it's been a struggle but I managed to clear the debt and am now skint, and awaiting to see if I have to go for an ATOS medical:eek:......if I don't pass that then I am deffo up the creek with no paddle.
Ok Im treading water not drowning, enjoying the hot weather, and have washed everything I can in sight taking advantage of natures warm weather to dry washing.
I'm dreaming of cold strawberries and cream and a cold half lager, fat chance but a gal can dream, it's cold tap water and a peach:rotfl: still I know Im lucky for the minute until I know if I have to go for an ATOS medical Im managing my finances tightly, squeezing everything out of every penny while I can.
My tans good looks like I've had an expensive holiday abroad and it's making my wonky sore knee and hip feel good so Im managing to tackle my au natural looking aka weedy garden a bit at a time and its begining to look like a garden again.
So Im going to waffle into my diary online again...do say hi....
How's your debt journey going? Good.bad. Impossible against all the odds would love to hear how you manage day to day...Life is looking good, finances are stable for a while, smelly bungalow smelling fragrant and bank balance still low but solvent...in a good place till something else happens

Right its August and the weather is now back warm and sunny, its lightened my mood, the gardens looking okayish, why do things grow when there weeds but if its flowers or veg they take ages.
I spent last weekend digging weeding sweeping and polishing so that the Housing Association might say yes to a mutual exchange.
Im in a quandry, I took this bungalow when it was offered because I knew after the initial 12 month starter tenancy I could do a mutual exchange to an area that would be more suitable to me...ie nearer town and people not in the middle of nowhere, access to shops and not having to use public transport from a very very limited budget.
But Ive kind of gotten to like my wee bungalow at the end of a small village, with its weeds that grow at a rampant speed.
Im surrounded by countryside but the M6 is only 10 minutes away and so is the M6 Toll Road and Ive just discovered there is a bus service at last, only within school hours but it runs and with careful planning you can get in and out of the village.
Due to recent government changes re benefits and housing benefit etc I wouldnt ever get the choice of living here again I have everything I need here to live comfortably if Im careful but it gets lonley, Im youngish compared to my neighbours who are all elderly and stay indoors and never talk, I do have a odd chat with next door but is all about aches pains and ills lol
The person I want to exchange with is ok but there bungalow though tidy and can be done up ok has one problem, they smoke Im not sure I have it in me to tackle a complete redecoration and recarpet the place again but this place will be so much easier for me to get out and about and see friends and get to shops etc, versus peace and quiet and slight isolation.....time to get ot grips that I have to make a decision pronto....
Plus as I suffered really badly from depression a while back I love my doctor and support network, Im frightened that I will end up with an indifferent doctor etc....but I need to put on my big girl pants and move forward, take a step into the unknown etc.
id look forward to the challenge of moving but Im kind of startled in the headlights type of thing, wanting to move but froze in the one place....Im sure it will sort its self out, I will do a pros and cons list and work from there, I should be thankful I have a choice some folk dont.
Right time to water a few pot plants and get my thinking cap on.....
if you read these mutterings do say hi...would you move if you had the chance?:DLife is looking good, finances are stable for a while, smelly bungalow smelling fragrant and bank balance still low but solvent...in a good place till something else happens

or  right an update I signed for the exchange and I move Saturday....
Ive cleared so much carp, clutter and still have 26 boxes to move, and all the heavy stuff... this has been made possible by the lovley HMRC the taxman by giving me a refund on my tax from the tax year 2007/2008 hope they dont want it back:D.
The cheque for £101.27p appeared in the post out of the blue toatally unexpected so this has allowed me to hire a man and a van and to do the exchange this weekend.
Im still not sure if this is the right move for me but it puts me nearer all the folk that matter in my life, is not so isolated and most of all its near shops that I can walk to and save money on groceries etc without having to pay high bus fares.
Downside is it will need redecorating, but I think I can salvage a lot with gallons of elbowgrease and buckets of magnolia emulsion.
Shops round here are asking 50p each for empty large cardboard boxes so I put an ask out on local Freecycle for some and got a lovley couple that had just moved house who gave me boxes, bubblewrap and packing tape, who says theres not lovley folk in the world. Only thing they asked me was to pay the favour forward which I will do when I am able....
I have mobilised my friends to help so fingers crossed it goes to plan, exchanging is worse than moving into an empty property you have to synche your removal van with theres, its like a finite dance, one wrong move and the fluid movements all to !!!! lol...I have ran every possible disaster scenario through my head that I have contingency plans for all events
:rotfl:
I have maybe over compensated but hey thats me....Ive been honed to expect the worst over the last couple years that I have become quite pessimistic and when all goes well I surprise myself:rotfl:
So am off to have an early night and start some of the last packing bits and bobs in the morning with a new mantra dont collect anymore carp ehmm junk,,,ehmmm it will come in useful one day items...its a hard habit to break.....
Night eveyone..hope the rain keeps away this weekend

Phase 1 of the move has gone ok, most of the boxes have gone into new bungalow, just man and a van tommorow morning to help move the heavier stuff, 42:eek::eek: boxes I have piled up in new place and I ache in places I never knew could hurt so much...better than a gym workout.
I'm lying in bed, well on mattress on the floor to be exact wondering how the heck Im going to do up this place on no money, Im just so whacked at hauling boxes today my minds gone numb, my arms ache and my poor old knees are throbbing
:A I nearly decamped in the other direction when I realised what I've taken on....too late now....girl you have to make the best of what is there.
Some hard graft and good old elbow grease will work wonders, so folks good night .
Will post when my removals have finished
