Mini straighteners

Has anyone used these? Just wondering as I currently use GHDs but they do seem very hot so was thinking the small ones (not necessarily GHDs) would be better for my fine hair, I tend to only straighten my fringe and the ends anyway.
I am trying to not use heat on my hair but it just looks naff without any sort of styling, just thought these might be gentler.
Of course, when my hair has grown enough to tie it back then I'll only straighten my fringe when its up and the length when I have it down, hence lessening any damage.

I have a set of TS2 Detailers mini-straighteners, they go up to the same temperature as GHDs do and work very well on my thick wavy hair.
I bought mine from Sally Beauty about 5 years ago now for about £25, they are still working well but I only use them 2-3x a week for about 15 mins each time.
Here you are, Beauty Bay has them for £7! http://www.beautybay.com/electrical/ts2/detailerministraighteningiron/?pcrid=12485385563&gclid=CMjWr5G147QCFWbKtAoda2kAWwPublic appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
Do your GHDs not have a temperature control?0

Geri, I don't think they do.0

I've been using the mini ones for a while . I just smooth sides + fringe down with them . They were about £10 . My hair is fine and I like them + don't use my bigger ones at all now .0

Scrapoholic, which brand are yours? Do you find they are less damaging to fine hair than the big ones, do you have to use heat protection with them?0
