Dental Nurse - GDC & tax relief?

The wife is a dental nurse & has to pay some fee to the GDC every year. She's been told she could/could possibly get tax relief on this payment but hasn't really been told any more than this.
Any dental nurses out there who know the ins & outs of this statement? Is it true? If so how would she go about it?
Thanks.

Yes she can claim relief on the fees.

Write to the tax office http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/uniform-tax-rebate Read this http://www.dentalnursenetwork.com/forum/5-money-matters/368-claiming-tax-allowances.html as there may be other things she can claim for.0 -
I'm assuming she has no 'choice' as to whether she gets the repayments in the form of cheque or credited to her via a tax code change?
Got a letter today responding to the wifes letter dated 28th Jan....
We assume this is for the current tax year??I have accepted your claim & amended your code to include an allowance of £120
Wouldn't it just have been easier to send a cheque & be done with?I have also adjusted your code to include a further allowance for expenses incurred since 2009-10.The allowance will carry forward to your 2013-14 code. Please inform us if the amount paid changes.
In the past when she's received a tax code change, she's also received a letter stating what the old code was & what the new code is to be.
I don't know if that letter is on its way but she hasn't received it this time around. They could be just fobbing her off with this for all we know.
So looking for some feedback from those more experienced than I.0
