Hi All
*sorry, posted this on the food bargains board first but thought itd be better here!*
So, a trip to Aldi and Asda today got me thinking about how much things actually cost and what the best value really is
Aldi seem to be pretty consistant with their pricing, but in the big supermarkets, the amount of offers, 2 for £10, 3 for £10, 2for £6 etc on meat is just confusing!!
So, with the fact that all labels have the amount per kg or 100g on them, and with this in mind, how much would you consider to be reasonable for a quantity of meat, cheese, veg etc?
Personally, i wont pay more than
40p for passata
£6 for a kilo of cheese
£3.50 a kilo on mince meat (although i dont eat it so maybe im stingy on this!)
And i really dislike paying more than £7 a kilo of chicken.
Id be interested to hear everyones thoughts!
