Income tax return?

I know nothing about it and google is not particularly helpful when you don't know what exactly you are looking for, so...
I used to be employed by a private company in the UK between November 2010 and October 2011. I was receiving monthly payslips with PAYE information on it.
Can I be owed overpaid tax (income tax, I assume)?
If so, how to check it and claim it?

You can be repaid overpaid income tax but NI is not refundable.
Assuming you were on a 'normal' tax code you will be due a refund of some (maybe even all) of the tax you paid between April and October 2011
Contact the tax office that deals with your former employer. You should have had a P45 form summarising your pay/tax - details will be on there.0 -
It will depend on what else you were doing during period April 2010 and April 2012. If you were also self-employed in the UK then it will depend on how much you earned. If you also received taxable benefits in the UK then it will depend how much they were.
If you lived and/or worked somewhere else (eg in another country) before and after your time in the UK then it will depend on whether the other country has a reciprocal tax agreement with the UK and what it is.Indecision is the key to flexibility0
