if comp prize doesnt fit.. return/sale options?

I won a bike recently, but sadly too small for me (comp didnt mention its size..)

If no joy from promotor, re possible exchange for larger model, do I have any rights regarding being able to 'reject' it as not suited to my purpose, or sell on?
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Would generally depend on what the terms and conditions state. The best thing to do is to have a check of those and then contact the promoter to see whether they can help. Some terms and conditions will state that there is no alternative and that the prize cannot be sold but if it doesn't state that anywhere then I guess you are free to do what you want with it. If the bike can be bought from a shop that you have near you, you might always want to contact them to see if they could exchange it.

I'm sure you could 'reject it' by sending it back but I doubt they would pay for postage and then you may end up with no prize.
