Unfortunately, you have to pay by direct debit, so you have to remember to cancel after the 5 issues. Still a good deal, but I never trust myself to remember to cancel!

I would be careful, I think you pay the £5 straight away, and then the wording is a little odd, but looks like you would get charged for your next issues when you get your third magazine.

"Subscribe to Craftseller and try 5 issues for £5 when you pay by Direct Debit. Your subscription will continue at £9.97 every 3 issues"

I'm tempted, but will cancel direct debit after first magazine arrives just incase, thanks :)

  • Cheer OP! Had been looking at food mag subscriptions etc.

    Ended up with ...
Olive mag at £5 for 5
BBC Good Food at £3 for 3 (link)
Gardeners World at £1 for 3 (link)

Just have to set reminders to cancel now!:rotfl:

That's not how it usually works, they usually debit you straight after your last issue.

    For example, history says

Subscribe to History Magazine and try 5 issues for £5 when you pay by Direct Debit. Your subscription will continue at £16.80 every 6 issues

So by your reasoning we'll get an issue free :D

Best thing is to do as you said (and what I've done in previous years) cancel the DD as soon as they've taken the £5 out!

There's an off with TCB if you follow through with £5.05 cashback if you take up a trial offer. Could this work??
