512MB MP3 player with FM radio, WMA and DRM WMA

Hi everyone,

mp3players.co.uk are offering a 512mb mp3 player with fm radio, wma and drm wma support for only £69. This is the cheapest I've managed to find a drm wma player for. I've ordered 2 for my twin sons birthday. I don't know how much stock they have but they haven't said it's limited or anything.

To those who aren't sure, a DRM WMA is a protected file - like the ones you get from legal download sites. Not all MP3 players play protected files.

Cheers everyone :)

    Never heard of these but seem pretty expensive (getting on for twice the price of normal MP3 player.)What does the extra DRM WMA actually give you, does it sound better? Is it worth the additional cost?

    I think it is a format in which the songs are sold in, so you can't copy it. Like itunes sells songs in aac format. This player can apparently play songs sold in drm wma format without any jiggery pokery. However I didn't think you need to get a specific drm wma player to play bought wma files. Obviously I was wrong.

    I tend to dump the songs onto the player then that's it I just listen to them. I've never copied them off the player again I just delete them if I want to make space for something else. So don't see this is worth paying anything extra for.

    If you buy music from a legal download site, such as MSN, MyCokeMusic, Napster etc, if you want to play the music on an MP3 player, then you need a player to support DRM WMA files, otherwise the music won't play on an MP3 player.
  • To clear this up:
    DRM= Data Rights Management
    It basically can hold restrictions on the number of times you can copy, transfer or even listen to a song. As whodafeckareyou says you'll need this type of player to play songs brought from a download site, however, if you encode your own cd's, this is not needed.
