    I'd go with blue?

    Our Garstang cheese has a taste to tantalise the senses...but can you tell us what colour it is?
    1. Red
    2. White
    3. Blue

    Similar cheeses

    A number of blue cheeses are made in a similar way to Blue Stilton. All these cheeses get their blue veins from the saprotrophic fungus Penicillium roqueforti. Examples include Gorgonzola cheese of Italy, which is made from either cows' or goats' milk; and Roquefort, which is made with ewes' milk.
    Stichelton is made in the same way as Stilton cheese and uses cows' milk from a permitted county (Nottinghamshire), but the milk is unpasteurised and so under the PDO it cannot be designated as true Stilton.
    Since the PDO came into effect, some British supermarkets have been stocking a generic British Blue cheese. Other makers have gained the confidence to adopt their own names, and styles. Blacksticks Blue, Garstang Blue, Cote Hill and Lincoln Blue are typical examples.




    I'd just think of the group as "Blue Cheese".

Made in much the same way as our Creamy Lancashire, we add a specially designed blue mould during cheesemaking. Once made, Garstang blue is matured carefully in dedicated maturing rooms where the ideal conditions exist to allow the mould to develop within the cheese. After approximately 6 weeks, we spike the cheese, allowing the mould to develop into streaks as it grows through the cheese.

    Hi,we'll have to agree to disagree as maybe it's open to each of our own interpretation.

    I did add a question mark in post #2 to signify by slight doubts as to which answer would be best :-)

    The terms do not open for me but maybe this is one to enter via a partners name as well,if that is possible of course.

    Hopefuly its not one entry per household.

    I've "trimmed " the piccys out as I'm never sure where we are re hotlinking.Some sites do take bandwidth a bit serious though :-)
