I used to love Lidl's Greek yoghourt. It was just divine but very creamy and I think very fattening. I don't buy it any more but I do miss it.:(

It's not the fat in yogurt which makes it fattening, it's any remaining lactose (milk sugar) plus added sugar or fructose.

Total Greek yogurt does have live bacteria but a cheaper and tasty option is the Yeo Valley organic natural yogurt which also has it. 500g Total 2.39 in Sainsbury's I think, Yeo Valley often 2 x 500g pots for 2.50.

I love Greek yoghurt but I thought it had high fat content.

I have it either with honey, or with grapes. Yum.

Oh, and it has to be Total.

  • @pennylane I would just go for it.
I had no hesitation in regularly buying Cream and Butter as I reason it would make my cooking tastier provided I exercise moderation and my dishes don't swim in fat which is unattractive and demonstrates bad cooking practice.
I have a 2000 cal Lindt Hazelnut Creation bar and it is frankly outstanding. I was unable to resist demolishing a whole bar- a whole days calories.
I would indulge provided you seek to eat a balanced diet ie meat or whatever and 5 veg-with indulgences as they make life go round.

Total or Easi Yo no contest.
Easi Yo is probiotic and they have a high customer service ethic.
Others I like are Yeo Valley Fruit Yoghurts sold in Litre packs. I think Yoghurt demands fruit. Fruit is both healthy and tasty and essential to provide counterbalance to the many splendoured wonders of Chocolate.
    Waitrose Custard Yoghurts are divine.
So Auntiewouldbe says' follow your heart/tastebuds' as eating should be a pleasure and that IMHO helps you to keep an MSE Budget.
