They really would need something like that in my house as I seem to do everything, not through laziness on their part but because I like it done MY way and its blinking quicker doing it yourself (you all know what I mean). This is a really good thing to have though, well done you!
OK, here's a starter. every child in our house has one plus ther eis one on the fridge and it is always being upgraded and improved. it's printed out as a little booklet.
The cats - feeding brushing, litter tray, hygiene of dishes and eating area, foibles and peculiarities, first aid, what to do in an emergency, chattery number, vets number
security - locking doors, keeping shed locked, when to open and shut windows, securing bikes, know where your keys are, answering the phone to strange numbers
Kitchen
Fridge freezer - keeping clean, stock rotation, what do do if electric goes off, care and maintanence
washing machine - how it works, how to divide washing up, how to keep clean, how to fill the machine, safety
Cooker and hob- how it works, care and maintanence, safety, how not to set fire to the cooker
kitchen - hygiene and cleanliness, washing up,
bathroom - hygiene and cleanliness, use of towels,
electricity - step by step what to do if the power goes off, what to check and how, what to do if its off for a long time
The fire - how to light the fire, keep it going, keep it cleA, the water pump, how not to set fire to the chimney, what to do if the water gets too hot
As you can see its an epic work but it covers most situations - well not frogs invading the house :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Only other thing to do is this .........go to cust services and say your sister bought this wine and wants you to get another bottle could she tell you whch one it is. I am happy to do it for you if you want if I had the number.
After we find it we then have to find two bottles of something in the 3 for £10 that compare favourably to another supermarket. May all be a shot in the dark but worth researching anyway.......never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
Yes our manual is continually being upgraded and we don't have a section yet for dealing with wildlife in the house :rotfl:

Yours are more responsible than mine!
Mine has menu ideas, quick meals that are in the freezer etc
Lists of emergency phone numbers- friends/ neighbours/ family etc
Security.
and a big section on tidiness & cleanliness required in advance of our return home. We are generally greeted by a full, but clean, dishwasher and a full but dirty washing basket.
The frog coming in the house was my fault apparently. Hot summers evening and friends of DS1 wanted to smoke, so they all went outside (in line with no smoking in the house) and away from the decking (wood burns); but the door was open because they were in and out of the house for drinks and ice, so the door was open and frog managed to get in undetected.
I've always lectured them about keeping the back door closed when they are in the garden at night, and even locked if they are in the summer house at the bottom of the garden, in case of burglars. They always told me I am paranoid. After the frog incident they listen.
We live in a very urban area, never seen a frog before, though we do have a visiting fox and neighbours have a cat, so it could have been worse.
Best was that DS2 thought a mate was playing a trick on him and it was a plastic frog. So he knelt down at level to it and the frog rolled its eye.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
