Yes I've not caught up recently.

In that 1st week the surgeon saw her and her hands were partly save able but not her legs - sorry its so awful I can't even type the words but it was below the knee.
Last week was equally dreadful, she was on such a strong cocktail of drugs and pain killers it made her very agitated and almost demented. In the middle of this, even with an air pipe in the hospital staff told her what had happened. She could not cope with this and convinced herself she had been in a car accident and she fretted about her handbag and the shopping etc.
This week there has been a major improvement, out of bed and in a wheelchair, only one one meds and mainly only fretting about her hands, their colour and the exercises she has to do.
It's miraculous how the human body has the power to rejuvenate itself, adapt and adjust.
And out of the blackest of situations there is always a silver lining. BF talked to his bosses and got a tempory transfer so he is now back home, working local so he can visit his mum, help his dad and back at the flat with my eldest so things are much easier - last year he was working away and just home at weekends so they were both permently stressed out.

Poor lady. Hope the worst is over with now and she continues to improve.

yes it does make you wonder how your household would run if you were not around.

so I've even even more determined to keep everything in a state of readiness because literally your life and your families can change over night.

    - things like our stashes are very useful but do they know exactly where to find the fab conditioner or the hand wash?

we also have a household manual for when we are away and youngest son or eldest child are in charge. this gives instructions for everything, looking after the cats, how the kitchen applicants work, how to clean from room to room, what to do in an emergency eg vets number, what to do if the electric goes off etc. It's on the fridge and they are supposed to read it inside and out before we go away as it covers every single thing they need to know

It only takes something minor to happen like tripping over the cat and spraining a wrist for everything to grind to a halt so wether they like or not everyone has to be able to cope with household stuff.

    Wow, that's organised!
I can guarantee if i did something like that none of my lot would know where the manual was.... :D

  • at Mr A this morning they had Fairy washing up liquid reduced to 75p for 640ml bottles. Apple, pomegranite and an orange one. I thought that was pretty good and cheaper than own brand.

None of the huggies kits for the last couple of days though:(

You're braver than me, I'd never bid in the first place :D
I wouldn't want to be the seller, imagine the fees due if the auction actually gets finished without being pulled and he has to refund due to the item being SNAD (especially if it melts or gets kicked in) when the buyer arrives :D

Good Point. I did not think about when it ends. If it does end and not get pulled early he will have a bill on his account for about £10,000.

Wow, I've not sold on there in years, hadn't realised what the fees were like.
I think I'll watch this one and see how it pans out :D

I think we must let them get away with too much :D
At my wellbeing meeting last week I was asked if my kids do chores (which they don't). My reply was 'I didn't have children to do my housework for me :p ' - I'm lucky in a way as if I ask them to help out on the odd occasion and do something they always jump in and help but I'm probably making a rod for my own back when they're older..... :o

The orange one is tangerine and ginger flower. I read about it yesterday on hukd, but it seemed store specific and only one "flavour". Now we know different!
